RADAR - Selections from the Collection of Vicki & Kent Logan

RADAR celebrates Vicki and Kent Logan’s incredible personal vision and highlights their uncanny ability to detect—as if by radar—what’s happening right now in art all over the world.

Zeroing in on the most interesting and significant artistic impulses of the last 12 years, the Logans have created a cohesive, uniquely personal, and original collection based on their beliefs about art: Art must reflect the social or cultural events of the time but also be visually arresting and contain powerful, engaging imagery.

The Logans believe that contemporary art must be seen while current and have made this possible through generous gifts. In 2002, they donated more than 200 works to the DAM’s collection of modern and contemporary art. This exhibition features artworks from that gift, as well as others from the Logan’s collection and their donations to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
As the opening exhibition in our Anschutz Gallery, RADAR signals our renewed commitment to featuring the art of our times.
